Mass General Brigham’s Home Hospital program is redefining acute care by bringing hospital-level services directly into the home.
In this full-time, 36-hour-per-week role, you’ll work three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM with an every 3rd weekend rotation), providing personal, hands-on care to patients recovering in the comfort of their own homes.
As a Home Health Aide (HHA) on our expanding team, you’ll make a meaningful impact while enjoying predictable scheduling and the ability to self-schedule 4–6 weeks in advance. Who You’ll Care For
As part of the Home Hospital team, you will support adult patients who are receiving hospital-level care at home. Our patient population is diverse and includes individuals experiencing:
• Acute, complex medical conditions
• Heart failure
• COPD exacerbations
• Pneumonia
• Cellulitis
• Dehydration
These patients may require close monitoring, mobility support, assistance with daily personal care, and compassionate presence as they stabilize and recover in the comfort of their own homes.
You will support patients across the North Region, including:
Beverly, Salem, Peabody, Lynn, Melrose, Medford, Somerville, Lexington,
and surrounding communities.
Job Summary
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll assist patients with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and other essential activities that promote independence, safety, and comfort. You will follow individualized care plans, document your support accurately, communicate clearly with families and clinical teammates, and report any concerns promptly.
Your day will include traveling between patient homes across the North Region. Assignments are sent the night before, giving you the chance to plan your route and prepare for the specific needs of each patient. Whether you’re providing a short 4-hour visit or a full 12-hour shift, you play an important part in helping patients heal at home.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Home Health Aide Certification required
- A valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for home visits. Must be able to commute to multiple sites/home visits throughout the day.
