Job Summary:
The Albertin Lab at Harvard University studies the evolution of developmental patterning mechanisms using cephalopods and other molluscs as model systems. We employ diverse approaches, including gene expression analyses, lineage tracing, live imaging, and CRISPR-mediated gene manipulation to probe molecular and cellular mechanisms driving the development of molluscan brains and body plans, with the goal of revealing fundamental principles underlying the evolution of development. We are seeking a Research Assistant II to support our growing lab needs.
