Job Description

To further strengthen our role as key market player in Europe, we are looking for a Project Manager. The role holder will be a highly motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must have exceptional visual presentation and workflow documentation skills. They should have a proven track record of managing complex, high-profile projects with remote matrix teams.

Elavon is investing in its Digital Boarding and Payment Facilitator capabilities and is expanding the team that delivers this solution to include a Project Manager. The Project manager will facilitate Project implementation managing and understanding the process and procedures of implementing a project from initiation, discovery, final implementation and BAU rollout. The Project manager will work with key stakeholders and customers to implement enhancements, onboard partners, agree processes and work with internal teams to align with existing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the successful execution of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Proactively identify risks, challenges, and potential escalations, and manage mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
  • Navigate complex organisational structures to analyse, document, and optimise business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, partners, and customers to define project scope and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Coordinate project activities by scheduling and facilitating meetings (e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, steering committees), tracking actions, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, change requests, status reports, and lessons learned, ensuring adherence to internal standards and approval processes.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to implementation and BAU handover.
  • Foster strong, lasting relationships across the matrixed organisation to support effective project delivery.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in customer implementations and partner integrations.
  • Recognised project management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2 preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of the European payments industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Office suite.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Jira is advantageous.
  • Skilled in facilitation and team collaboration, with a focus on building a “one team” culture.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, depending on base location.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
