We are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Project Manager for our European Payments business. This is a newly created role with the objective of defining and managing the end-to-end process for a key financial impacting piece of change work which has a commercial and customer focus.
Reporting into the Commercial Director for MPS, the Project Manager will need to engage with senior stakeholders across the business, working closely with sales leaders, sales enablement leaders, pricing, and finance, and transforming the process to be more automated and customer-friendly.
The project manager will have full governance for the process, defining short and long term goals and managing these through to implementation.
This role is an individual contributor role, working in a matrix structure, supported by wider members of the Marketing team.
Key accountabilities:
Manage a specific financial project, from design to implementation, with all relevant internal stakeholders – define process, roles and responsibilities of all key stakeholder. Ensure full governance of the end-to-end process for specific financial activity.
Run all internal and external engagements to ensure timely completion to expectation.
Manage the ongoing process for any changes requested
Seek to improve the process to expediate delivery and reduce overheads.
Skills & experience required:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities
Experienced Project Manager who has driven short, medium and long term customer focused, revenue and technology projects.
Banking / Payments industry experience preferred
Demonstrated management and leadership skills
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Good problem solver – quick thinker and self-starter with sense of humor
Experience of working within a fast paced regulated environment
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. Open to London or Dublin applicants.
