Senior Associate, Tech Strategy and Execution, Corporate & Investment Bank

Job Description

This role requires a mix of problem solving, fluency in enterprise technology, and experience on large scale change efforts.  Given the importance of this work, you will have unique exposure to senior technology leaders in JPMorgan.

As a Senior Associate in our Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Digital Platform Strategy team, you will help lead project teams in solving complex problems and implementation issues critical to the company.  You will also be responsible for leading 1-2 workstreams for tech initiatives that span all CIB technology teams.  You will focus on steering our culture transformation to achieve the full potential of emerging technologies in a large, global, complex technology organization while maintaining our obligations for safety and soundness of the business processes.  Longer term, the role will also support priorities for technology enablement of client data and digital experiences, as well as operational resiliency of technology systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and deconstruct problems
  • Structure and build quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses
  • Analyze operational and financial data
  • Perform competitor/industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources
  • Prioritize issues, analysis, and team capacity
  • Work collaboratively with team members across lines of business (LOBs)
  • Identify implications and “so whats” of data and analysis within the team
  • Contribute to concise communication materials for senior management

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience from either a premier management consulting firm, OR from an investment banking (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research) division. 
  • Diverse problem solving experience, such as experience with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across financial services sectors
  • Experience driving agentic AI solutions to production in highly regulated industries (e.g., financial services)
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written) to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (absolutely required)
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way, and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Financial Institutions Group (FIG) experience preferred
