Role Summary

This role is responsible for the training curriculum, compliance standards and implementation of training programs within the Stores organization. The Training Supervisor oversees and provides onboarding for new hires, training guidance and curriculum for the Stores agents in the performance of their duties and establishes priorities for training.  All training will be in coordination with the Stores Training Program to support the Supply Operations Division.  

Key Duties

  • Oversees and facilitates day to day training responsibilities in support of the Stores operation. 
  • Provides all training materials and curriculum required for training.  
  • Recommends and makes updates to job function specific and department manuals as required  
  • Communicates and collaborates with Onboarding, HR and Stores Training to coordinate department specific onboarding training for incoming new hires.  
  • Facilitates New Hire Onboarding class for Stores agents. 
  • Communicates and implements new initiatives, changes to training policies and procedures. 
  • Evaluates and offers progressive counseling for improved performance on new hire Probationary Evaluations. 
  • Upholds company and regulatory safety compliance and develops safety awareness in employees. 
  • Facilitates monthly Rival/Cornerstone reports to ensure all agents are compliant in all Training courses.   
  • Investigates improperly performed duties on Dangerous Goods shipments or when a training issue is involved. 
  • Works with the Manager of Training and Stores training team on Training Projects. 
  • Creates and builds any additional needed curriculum for classes, such as new project roll outs, Dangerous goods, etc.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required 

  • 3 years of experience in Stores or a relevant function. 
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. 
  • Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (e.g. nights, weekends, holidays). 
  • Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) with experience training and/or providing classroom based instruction. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and SnagIt. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum age of 18. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S 
  • Travel required. 
  • TRAX experience in Stores Agent functions.  
  • Dangerous Goods (IATA, 49 CFR), preferably DG Shipper trained.   

Preferred 

  • Experience with using an inventory management software platform and inventory control. 
  • Familiar with OSHA/EPA regulations; warehouse experience.  
  • Familiar with IAM (International Association of Machinists) labor agreements or experience within a bargaining unit environment.

Salary Range

$98,800 -- $148,200 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
