Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice to team members, and lead efforts on, anticipating, identifying, responding to, and recovering from short- and long-term disruptions to business processes and critical technology assets. In this role, you will guide the team's understanding of how the business and technology recognize existing and future risks, and capture strategies to mitigate impacts to Fannie Mae, as well as integrate risk management disciplines, with a strategic focus on risk identification, documentation of recovery plans, and testing of documented recovery and/or mitigation strategies.

The Business Continuity & Technology Resiliency Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: 

  • Lead the team in proactively identifying resiliency risks, delivering actionable insights and implementing measures to sustain continuity and minimize business disruptions.

  • Lead the team in implementing, updating, and following contingency plans to deal with unexpected emergencies.

  • Anticipate and react to change in ways that enable the organization to survive, thrive, and evolve.

  • Guide the team in identifying indicators that give management a view of current levels of resilience.

Minimum Required Experiences 

  • 4 years  

  • Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.


Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent  


Skills

  • Presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand

  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data

  • Experience identifying measures, or indicators of system performance, and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to achieve desired outcomes

  • Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.

  • Business Resilience including managing crisis events, assessing business impact, and planning and managing business continuity

  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion

  • Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations

  • Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud computing

  • Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict

  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal

  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives

  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI


Tools

  • Experience using SharePoint and Confluence

  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ServiceNow, Jira Management)

  • Skilled in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot)

  • Experience using Fusion Risk Management

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms

Target Salary Range: $96,000 to $124,000 a year

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
