Job Summary: Facilitate diverse financial analysis for a school/unit and assist department management with their financial planning efforts, budget analysis and monthly reporting.
Job-Specific Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the oversight and management of the day-to-day financial responsibilities of the organization including review of A/P, entering journals, reconciling expense charges, conducting analysis on both capital and operating budgets across all FAS Tubs, asset management, liaising with Campus Services and conducting monthly reporting. This position:
The Senior Financial Analyst works with the Associate Director of Finance and Budgets to ensure departmental compliance with financial policies, procedures and controls requirements; enters journals and cost transfers, analyzes department budget and building operations budgets, reviews and codes expenditures and assists building managers in maintaining budgets and appropriately coding transactions. This position will also support financial management for new initiatives including a major renovation of the college houses, FAS Sustainability program and transitioning the department use of university systems such as Brio and B2P.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office setting; Hybrid schedule: three (3) days on campus (2 days WFH) after 90-day Orientation & Review and fully up and running.
Physical Requirements: Sitting and using near vision for reading and computer work for extended periods of time

Work Format Details
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
