AWM- 55ip Product Manager- VP

Job Description

55ip | Product Owner (VP) - Investment Platform & Capabilities

Description

As a Vice President – Product Owner Portfolio Implementation & Capabilities, you will play a critical role in defining the product vision, strategy, and driving the delivery of key capabilities on the platform — shaping how advisors implement managed account portfolios, execute tax-smart transitions, and manage investment outcomes through intuitive, scalable technology. Our platform powers intelligent portfolio implementation — combining quantitative tax optimization, model marketplace capabilities, and seamless advisor workflows into a single, scalable technology. As part of JPMorganChase, we operate with the agility of a fintech and the reach of a global institution.

You are intellectually curious, grounded in product management best practices, and forward-leaning in your use of AI-powered tools to accelerate delivery and elevate team ways of working.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as the Product Owner for the order generation, review and routing workflow on the platform; own the product backlog and drive delivery across business and technology partners to build and enhance platform capabilities.

  • Facilitate discovery sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to identify pain points, validate assumptions, and define requirements for new and enhanced investment capabilities.

  • Partner with engineering, design, and business leads to define features, write user stories, and establish delivery plans aligned to quarterly objectives.

  • Drive backlog prioritization using quantitative signals (usage data, client feedback, business impact) and Agile planning methods.

  • Lead Agile ceremonies for your delivery team; maintain high standards for backlog health, epic delivery tracking, and release coordination.

  • Partner with Tech Architects to assess architectural impact and determine the optimal approach for platform changes.

  • Build deep expertise in current-state platform architecture and contribute to target-state solutioning.

  • Contribute to multi-year roadmap planning; translate product strategy into sequenced, actionable deliverables.

  • Identify and resolve cross-functional blockers; challenge assumptions and propose creative solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate product workflows — drafting PRDs, generating user stories, and maintaining living knowledge bases.

  • Mentor junior product managers and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or business analyst experience with a strong analytical background.
  • 2+ years of experience related to portfolio management, order management, or managed accounts implementation within asset management, wealth management or a fintech serving these segments.
  • Demonstrated habit of continuous learning — actively engages with product communities, applies evolving frameworks, and brings external perspectives into team practices.
  • Proficient in Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence) and comfortable working in sprint cadences alongside UX design and engineering.
  • Comfortable operating with incomplete information; able to frame problems, make decisions with imperfect data, and iterate quickly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, maintain momentum, and deliver against commitments.
  • Track record of building trusted relationships across product, technology, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with order management systems and workflows (e.g., order aggregation, trade routing) and their integration with investment platforms

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques and experience integrating AI-assisted workflows into product or knowledge management processes.

  • Formal project management experience (PMP, SAFe, or equivalent) in complex, multi-team delivery environments.

  • Experience with tax-loss harvesting, direct indexing, or quantitative portfolio construction.
