Front Office Coordinator, Full-Time

Job Description

The Front Office Coordinator performs a variety of duties related to the authorization of insurance for patients of the and their physicians. They also perform a variety of general office duties, use of office equipment, greeting patients and visitors, collecting data for registration and the billing process, entering patient charges, scheduling ancillary tests, assembling patient charts, and filing. May be responsible for entering data into the outcomes database. Will also be responsible for normal maintenance of office equipment and ordering office supplies and some medical supplies as directed.  Is accountable for the day to day operations of ensuring the center runs smoothly and effectively. Has full access to patient information.


Shift: M-Thurs 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Fri 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of prior medical office experience.
  • Coding experience preferred.
  • Skilled in the use of computers – Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, as well as web-based database programs and internet.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be a problem-solver, resilient, dependable, with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
