FP&A GROUP
The Financial Planning and Analysis group is a strategic partner to the firm's business units and its senior executives. We build the budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans that shape how the firm invests and operates, and we maintain the management basis P&L that leadership relies on. We're a collaborative team that holds itself to a high standard: our work is accurate, insightful, and ready for senior audiences.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are a Senior Associates to help support the growing complexity, size, and volume of Bain Capital. This roles will report into a FP&A Manager and will support our private markets businesses. You will be a trusted partner to business unit leaders and a go-to resource for teammates.
What you'll do
· Own the analysis behind the annual budget process and the monitoring and reforecasting throughout the year for your assigned businesses.
· Contribute to the firm's long-term strategic plan, translating real-time and planned business changes into clear financial projections.
· Deliver periodic reporting to business unit COOs and CFOs, with thorough trend analysis that surfaces the "so what," not just the numbers.
· Partner daily with the compensation team, corporate finance/accounting, and department leaders to keep plans and actuals aligned.
· Prepare journal entries to bridge the tax basis P&L to the management basis.
· Take on ad hoc projects from business unit and senior leadership, often under tight timelines, giving you broad exposure to the firm's businesses.
· Review your own work rigorously before it leaves your desk, and proactively flag issues, risks, and opportunities rather than waiting to be asked.

Qualifications
· 3-6 years of experience in FP&A or accounting (public or private)
· Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
· Sound judgment and the willingness to take responsibility for decisions.
· Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills; Anaplan experience a plus.
DESIRED EDUCATION
· Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Compensation:
Expected Annual Base Salary $95,000 – 115,000
Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
