Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist Summary: The U.S. Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist supports the U.S. payroll tax team to deliver on critical payroll activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, keeping Capital One U.S. payroll tax accounts in good standing, timely and accurate tax setup in the Workday payroll system and ADP Smartcompliance, state/local tax account maintenance, and overall compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities: Supports the team’s critical functions with an emphasis on creating efficiencies through continuous improvement Oversee the maintenance of all state and local tax withholding registrations and employer account numbers with the goal Analyze root cause of escalated tax notices and work with the team to develop corrective action plans.
