The mission of the PME Finance & Administration team is to act as the connective tissue across PME—facilitating coordination and support for all 13 offices so each can fulfill its core objectives. The team manages all financial transactions, ensure compliance with Harvard University policies and procedures, and serve as a resource for administrative challenges, helping offices develop effective solutions or processes when issues fall outside their areas of expertise. Harvard Medical School is somewhat unique among peer institutions in that it does not own its own hospital. Instead, it relies on affiliated clinical faculty at partner hospitals to deliver much of the MD curriculum, which adds complexity to organizational and administrative responsibilities.
