Reporting to the Dean for Medical Education, the Associate Dean for Faculty Development in Medical Education (ADFDME) oversees Harvard Medical School (HMS) faculty development efforts aimed at educators of medical students and supports medical education research efforts focused on undergraduate medical education (UME) from across the HMS ecosystem. The overarching mission of this ADFDME position is to ensure that Quad-based and hospital-based HMS faculty are fully prepared both to serve in instructional and evaluative roles within the MD program and to study aspects of this educational program in a rigorous manner.
