The SBGrid Consortium at Harvard Medical School supports a large international research community by curating and distributing a scientific software platform used across structural biology, cryo-EM, and related fields. The platform includes approximately 650 software titles and 6,000 versions across macOS and Linux and is deployed across laptops, workstations, HPC clusters, and cloud environments. We are hiring a Scientific Platform Engineer to help lead the modernization, security, reliability, and engineering evolution of this platform. This role has the possibility of being remote or hybrid.  Remote work may be considered for individuals living at least 100-mile radius from campus and where all work will be completed within a state that Harvard is registered to do business in (CA, CT, GA, IL, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT or WA). Please note that you may be expected to come to our Boston, MA based campus with specific duration and frequency to be determined by the department’s needs.
