Treasury Management Sales Manager

Job Description



The Treasury Management Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the Bank’s Treasury Management sales strategy, overseeing Treasury Management Advisors. This role drives deposit growth, fee income, and client engagement while aligning with Commercial Banking partners and reinforcing Washington Trust’s consultative sales approach.

We offer a hybrid remote work schedule with on-site work in Westerly or Providence, RI.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Head of Treasury Management
Direct Reports: Treasury Management Advisors

Key Partners: Commercial Banking, Service & Implementation, Product Management, Product Specialists, Retail Banking Partners

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

- Lead and develop TM Advisors and Sales Support staff
- Set performance expectations tied to deposits, fee income, and cross-sell
- Coach team on pipeline management and consultative selling

Sales Strategy Execution

- Execute Treasury Management sales strategy
- Manage pipeline across new and existing clients
- Drive consultative, value-based client conversations

Commercial Banking Partnership

- Partner with Relationship Managers to identify opportunities
- Execute joint calling and improve treasury attach rates

Client Engagement & Growth

- Drive deposit and fee income growth
- Maintain key client relationships
- Participate in strategic client discussions

Product & Solution Leadership

- Maintain expertise in treasury products
- Support pricing and proposal strategy
- Work with product team on enhancements

Service & Implementation Alignment

- Partner for smooth onboarding and client transition
- Ensure strong client experience lifecycle

Performance Metrics

- Deposit growth
- Fee income
- Client meetings and pipeline
- Cross-sell penetration
- Client retention

Compensation & Benefits

The good-faith estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, education, and training. 

This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
